I’ve been eyeing this restaurant for a while now and was super excited to go with a good friend of mine. I loved the atmosphere and design, from the entrance to the lanterns and trees found inside.
We had an amazing server who was super attentive, and I unfortunately don’t remember his name (he even brought me some club soda when I spilled soy sauce all over my white shirt!). We both ordered Flower Blossom for drinks, and both really enjoyed them!! It reminded me of an alcoholic slushie 🙂 For appetizers, we ordered Crispy Rice and P.F Bao. Both appetizers knocked it out of the part; I absolutely loved both because their flavors were so delicious. The P.F Bao went really well with the wasabi aioli within a fluffy bao bun, and the crispy rice was perfectly salty and went with both the tuna and salmon. For the main courses, we had the maguro foie, wagyu-ni, misuna, and wagyu strip steak. The maguro foie was very light and delicious, and the wagyu-ni again went well with the wasabi. The misuna was bigger than I expected, and it was beautiful with the salmon tataki on the top (tasted amazing too!). The wagyu strip steak went well with the crispy potato strings and jalapeno sauce, and I was so surprised with the amount! Overall, we were super pleased with the amount of food we got and especially enjoyed the appetizers that knocked it out of the park! Definitely will come back and recommend Paperfish to other friends!
